I cann't resist this tasty food, what is the solution?

Aaaah! I can not resist! It's too good, I'm too hungry, I want too, I can not do without. It is with these words that are often justified inability to lose weight because of these impulses that throw us on tasty food and the excess of which made us fat. How to get to master without that life is synonymous with frustrations?

Impulses to the reward
It smells good in the baker, there are just a batch of apple pies just out. We bought a dinner, that will please everyone. And we can not resist an impulse to a apple turnover that we enjoy on the sidewalk, small personal reward.

It made her weekly shopping at the supermarket, it has full-backs pushing this cart full of detergents, trash bags of dry food for dogs, bedding packages for the cat, milk bottles and arrives at the radius biscuits. At home, everyone loves the little cookies filled with a bold stuff / sweet because they are crispy and then melt deliciously in the mouth. We buy three packages and a drive pushes us to chew half of standing in line at the checkout. Just to reward unconsciously from the drudgery and stress of racing.

In a drawer of his desk, stored beads chocolates that do not melt in the fingers. We love them because you can eat them quietly (and without having to go wash hands to avoid dirtying the keyboard of the computer) when you need to do good, to reward due fatigue, boredom, bad customer recalcitrant software etc.

The neurons of the reward
Opportunities to provide as a reward for all day long abound. And each time, it sets in motion a super sophisticated system in our brain.

Indeed, there is in it a small area of neurons, nervous system called reward system where neurotransmitters are activated, small molecules that are good for us, give us a feeling of pleasure. This same reward system that works with drugs, tobacco and alcohol.

Reward and addiction
A real tennis, the balls are the neurotransmitters in our brain plays, one by sending another in another area, then in another, including that of the memory.

The result of this sophisticated and permanent great game is that it always seeks the pleasure brought by a bold stuff / sweet (like Nutella!), Short or sweet (candy, soda) or greasy at all, whatever.

So when you return to the baker, even if there is no tempting smells of apple pie, we are likely to have a beautiful drive on the boot which was so pleased the day before!

But most evil, the only memory of biscuits melt in the mouth or crunching chocolate balls can generate an impulse towards the product.

So when cookies are not far from the kitchen cupboard, when the chocolate balls are on hand in the desk drawer, let's go and presto! in the mouth.

The result is accustomed to it, we need it, it becomes dependent. By dint of eating, it grows because they provide calories you do not need. And if one begins to lose weight, it's almost impossible to live without it!

Gene, stress and environment
This reward circuitry does not work the same way in everyone. Some people are genetically more susceptible, they are more vulnerable.

Stress also plays an important role in contributing terribly impulses because we need to compensate, to do good after a contradiction whatsoever.

As for the food environment, it is essential. If you do not see small biscuits or chocolate on the horizon beads, one can hardly give in to the damn drive.

Depriving yourself?

Should we remember? Store the pack of biscuits we have in hand, close the desk drawer when grabbing chocolate balls, thinking that it will make us fat?

It can work, but not always! Because the time factor also plays its role. The immediate pleasure of eating has a greater influence on the decision that the future prospect of fat. Especially if you promise the same time to go spend later, biking or running, the harvested calories, we will not necessarily!

It is also an iron will to resist these urges. Admittedly, this is a way to run his head, but not on the right path. Because it leads to frustration when we have leagued against itself, the jostling of neurotransmitters reward system!

Neutralize the system
This is to avoid the damn reward system gets under way. This is the right way to run his head and for this, there are several tricks.

The first is to go shopping with a list of good good healthy food. Then activates another part of the brain, the prefrontal cortex, which is located, among other functions, self-control and planning, which will inhibit the buying impulses. If small biscuits or chocolate balls are not on the list, we will not buy them.

This stuff works also when doing shopping at an online store. It works even better that we avoid the stressful tired at the supermarket and drive that can be linked to it.

Another thing, obviously, is not to store fat products / sweet provoking impulses. It's much easier if you do not buy. When there is not, we do not eat!

The temptation to rest a distributor and impulses that the mere sight of confections that are aligned to can trigger. Again, you have to walk the prefrontal cortex and trigger self-control by choosing when there - which is fortunately more and more frequent - a fruit. You can also decide to avoid passing in front of the machine when it contains no healthy food!

Train your brain, run his head in the right direction, it is not really complicated! This is definitely the right way to do more - or almost - eat these fatty and sweet products which unbalance the diet, fattening or prevent to lose weight.
