Diet against attack

First objective: take the foot against the other plans and propose that fits our own lifestyle. Second objective: to find the balance weight and sustainably protect his heart. Dr. Boris Hansel * explains exactly what this regime 'against attack'.

What the regime against attack?

Dr Boris Hansel: The ' Diet against attack is based on experience gained during my medical activity. It incorporates all the scientific data currently available in the field of nutrition and cardiovascular prevention. This program aims to live longer in good health. Its follow naturally accompanied by a progressive loss of weight but durable.

What characterizes the regime against attack compared to other existing schemes?

Dr Boris Hansel: An attack against the plans 'devastating'. The method against attack opposes course all 'crazy diets' (pineapple cabbage soup ...) but also to conventional schemes hypergras (willingness to fat) or high protein (protein determination). Scientific studies show that these diet methods are almost always effective in the short term. They function also better than a balanced diet, which explains their popularity. But these same studies also show the failure of these medium-term plans with a recovery of weight in 2-5 years. I see every day men and women physically and psychologically devastated by these 'yoyo diets'. These people always describe the same story: they hear of an effective method and are highly motivated to follow. Weight loss is rapid, within weeks, providing a feeling of well-being and success ... But everything changes after a few months of weight stabilization: the body retaliates restrictions he suffered. A bit like a child subjected to too authoritarian education and who reached the age of majority, rebels and reveals what he thinks. Not only the lost pounds are taken, but the consequences are much more serious: body composition deteriorated, with more body fat than before weight loss. Above all, the patient feels guilty to have 'cracked'; he never questions the diet but justifies its failure by a lack of motivation. It will seek to motivate to start!

A structured program that is not limited to prescribe a "balanced diet"

Dr Boris Hansel: This is a structured program, modern and mostly in line with the findings of scientific studies published in recent years. The program covers both the supply of physical activity. It is based on three main axes.
- Priority 1: listening to its own food needs to respond appropriately.
Without this listening to the body, medium-term failure is assured. In practice, you will learn to recognize the feelings of hunger and satiety and be able to distinguish them from the urge to eat out of boredom, stress, fatigue or anxiety. This is an essential step in the retrieval Food peace.
- Priority 2: acquisition of knowledge but above all daily usable skills.
Manage fatigue and lack of time to cook, meet the urge to eat cheese or chocolate, choose a dish prepared trade balancing pleasure and health ... The goal is not to become a master in dietetics but just know how to manage purchases and preparing meals, taking into account the constraints of everyday life.
- Priority 3: a gradual increase in physical activity in a specific pattern.
A realistic program must be implemented gradually in three categories of activities: 'Walking effortlessly with a pedometer', 'endurance breathlessness threshold' and 'flexibility / strength training.' Each type of exercise is important, both in terms of well-being that weight control and cardiovascular prevention. Whatever his physical condition (shortness of breath, joint pain ...) and profession (merchant, teacher, minister ...), there are solutions to move more efficiently.

To be continued ...
